Hi this is K-9 signing on once again. I would like to show you some of my previous fights On April 2, and April 16, 2011the Quarter Finals and also the finals of the Cleveland Golden Gloves Qualifying Tournament. But before I display my boxing skill on video I would just like to stress to you the Commitment,Hard Work, and Dedication it took for me get to point of my talent considering boxing. Starting from the beginning of March I ran four and five miles about four days a week which is not an easy task to take on considering I'm a full time student at Tri-c Eastern Campus. My training was consisted also everyday from 4:00 to 7:30 at Thurgood Marshall Recreation center. Some of the meals I had to intake was pretty normal all the way up to March 25- April 1 even doe a boxer should eat healthy when training for a fight so he or she could maintain there weight to what ever it is they're trying to maintain. With that being said i eat pizza, hamburgers, homemade sandwiches, tuna, fried and baked chicken, very little junk food every now then, and also hot pockets and last but not least my Favorite cereal. By the time March 25 came I calmed down on my eating such as the portion size and also the things i would normally eat which is all the above. I started to eat things like tuna, baked fish, vegetables, fruit, baked chicken, no pop, just orange juice, apple juice, ice tea lemonade, mainly water, and salad with turkey meat and Italian sauce.
I'm a 22 year old Young Man hew been boxing for 12yrs now and currently still Holding on to this Sport i just love so much. Sometimes in this sport i just get so fustrated because it's Seems Harder and Harder with every day that goes by just to get a Bout. At times it's even hard for me to get sparring. At the end of the day i'm still chasing a dream that I know I can accomplish if given the opportunity With my Skills Hands Down...!!!!....I WANT BOXING SUCCESS...!!!!

Clevelands 2011 Golden Gloves Champion 132 Pound
Hi this is K-9 Signing on with results from the Cleveland Golden Gloves Finals. K-9 was Victorious in the Golden Gloves finals against Ramiro Hernandez and opponent who he recently beat two times before. The next step for K-9 is the NATIONALS which will be held in Indianapolis starting April 25-30. I am so proud that I won now I can give myself one more chance before I turn Pro to show the world how talented I am. By advancing to the nationals this is a great opportunity to hopefully land a big time promoter something every boxer needs in order to move up the ladder and the ranks concerning professional boxing. A promoter helps you in so many ways such as paying for your uniform, equipment, small house, Transportation(car), and lots of money$$$$$. OK lets say a boxer signs with Golden boy promotions(Oscar DE la Hoya) Camp for 3yrs. For that 3yrs you are under a contract which means boxing becomes your job and all you have to do is train. You will get a bonus check every month for about 2,600 depending on your promoter. Plus the money you get from having professional fights starting out at about 12,000 a fight. Good right??? And the more you win the more money you will make each professional fight you have.

THE FINAL STRAW.....???
Hi this K-9 signing on. I just wanted to inform you on my amateur background status of April 15,2011. Tomorrow is the "BIG" day the Golden Gloves Finals which will be held at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. This is the amateur tournment that everyone strive and work so hard to win because of the qualifying opportunities that comes with it if you win the whole tournament. If I win this boxing match tomorrow which i plan to do. I will advance to the Nationals which will be held in Indianapolis. In 2008 I made it to the Nationals but after winning two consecutive fights there which is a GREAT achievement considering your fighting the BEST fighters from all over the world. My luck came to a end when I failed to win the third fight. With that being said if i would have won the next two fights I would have had a chance to compete in the olympic trails which gives you a chance to fight for the Olympic USA boxing team. The Olympic USA boxing team is as far as you can go when competing as a amateur. Also this suppose to be my last amateur tournament before I turn Pro. So to make a name for myself and land a bigtime promoter I need to make it back to the Nationals and hopefully win everything or at least three fights. So someone can sign me and I will be set.

Results for the Quarter finals of the Golden Gloves
Hi this K-9 signing on again with the results from the quarter finals of the Golden Gloves. On Saturday April 2, 2011 K-9 had a tuff match against his fellow friend Marco Hall. Marco Hall use to weigh 141 which is a weight class above K-9 at 132 pounds. For some strange reason Marco decided to go down a weight class which was to 132 pounds the weight class K-9 been dominating for the last past two years. I'm not exactly sure what he was thinking when he did that but I'm guessing he thought this weight class would be easier for him to win. Considering hes a grown man at the age of 26 and K-9 20yrs of age. At the end of the day K-9 came out victorious over his boy Marco Hall. Shouts out to Marco Hall GOOD FIGHT.....Damn Good fight.....!!!!

Staying focused and Dedicated...!!!!!
This is k-9 signing on. Hi everyone i just wanted to exercise a few common situations when it comes to being a focused and dedicated amateur boxer or even a professional boxer. There will be alot of distraction and setbacks so you have to separated your self from all the negativity that goes on around us in our everyday life's.Such as drugs, peer pressure, street violence, and those sort of things which have probably occurred in mostly everybody life's at one point of time. With that being said some of the activities i exercise to stay focused and dedicated at what I'm pursuing. First off i try to surround myself with people like myself positive, motivated to obtain something out of life like a career that will benefit you in the long run.also i stay busy doing something positive such as attending school, boxing practice, playing basketball, football, doing homework/projects. I stay busy doing those type of activities that interest me. Therefore I won't have time for drugs, peer pressure, street violence, gang violence and all sort of other negativity that goes on.

Introduction of K-9
Hi everyone my name is Kasey. I just recently started a new blog so as you can see I'm kinda new to this type of blogging. Here's a brief description and background on me. I've been boxing in Cleveland for 7yrs now and i am currently boxing out of Thurgood Marshall Pal recreation center. Also i just wanted to invite anyone who was interested in watching some "EXCITING" amateur bouts held at West Side Masonic at 2831 Franklin Avenue this Saturday at 6:00!!! My boxing nicknames I have earned over the seven years I been boxing would be Lil Tyson and also K-9. People started calling me Lil Tyson when I went to the nationals in 2008. The reason people started calling me Lil Tyson because they thought my style of fighting was kinda similar to the famous boxer Mike Tyson in some ways but honestly I didn't think so. Other fighters and my fellow friends would call me Lil Tyson because of how strong I was and how I would always knock people out or down in spectacular fashions like Mike Tyson. Another thing is people called me K-9 because they say when am in a boxing fight I strike and attack like a K-9 Dog and them names kinda stuck with me every since then.
